Pathfinders Answer the Call at Camp Alamisco's 2026 Fair

From May 1-3, Camp Alamisco came alive with energy, laughter, and purpose as Pathfinders from across the Gulf States Conference gathered for the annual Pathfinder Fair. With 20 clubs represented and approximately 375 attendees, the weekend brought together young people, leaders, and families from Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida panhandle for a time of spiritual growth, outdoor adventure, and fellowship.

Centered on the theme “Mission Possible,” the camporee challenged Pathfinders, ages 10-15, to reflect on their role as young disciples in today’s world. Pastor Enmanuel Contreras, Youth Director of the Atlantic Union Conference, served as the keynote speaker, delivering messages that encouraged attendees to live with purpose, courage, and commitment to God’s calling.

Throughout the weekend, campers participated in a wide range of activities designed to build skills, teamwork, and resilience. From outdoor challenges and honors to group games and club-based competitions, Pathfinders were actively engaged in experiences that fostered both personal growth and unity. The campground buzzed with excitement as clubs worked together, cheered each other on, and built lasting friendships.

Worship remained at the heart of the camporee. Morning and evening gatherings brought everyone together in song, prayer, and reflection, creating meaningful moments for spiritual connection. Pastor Contreras’ messages resonated deeply with the young audience, emphasizing that following God’s mission is not limited by age but begins with a willing heart.

Leaders and volunteers played a vital role in making the event successful, guiding Pathfinders through activities and mentoring them throughout the weekend. Their dedication ensured a safe, organized, and Christ-centered environment where young people could grow and thrive.

As the camporee came to a close, Pathfinders left Camp Alamisco inspired to carry the mission forward in their homes, schools, and churches. The 2025 Pathfinder Fair served as a powerful reminder that the next generation is ready to lead, serve, and follow God wherever He calls.
