Description:
Big Cove Christian Academy, a Pre-K through 8th grade school, is currently accepting applications for the position of Principal. Nestled in the picturesque valley of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama, and surrounded by the mountains and hills of northeast Alabama, the school is conveniently located just southeast of Huntsville. At Big Cove Christian Academy, we provide a nurturing and dynamic educational environment for students in grades Pre-K through 8th grade, with an exciting partnership with Atlanta Adventist Academy, that enables us to offer a high school program (grades 9-12). The Principal is accountable for the overall day-to-day administration and operation of Big Cove Christian Academy so as to ensure the optimum fulfillment of its mission and mandate, in accordance with the administrative and educational policies of Big Cove Christian Academy, the Gulf States Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, and the associated laws and regulations of the State of Alabama. Applicants must have a strong desire to mentor young people and a willingness to serve others. This is a full-time, salaried position that includes teaching Grades 7-8. The GSC provides funding for the Principal to have protected administrative time on a weekly basis.

Experience:Applicants should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in education with an elementary endorsement. Located in Pearl, Mississippi, just east of Jackson, Pearl offers a blend of small-town charm and convenient access to a larger metropolitan area. The principal plays a vital role in leading the daily life and direction of College Drive Christian School. The principal fosters a positive environment where students, teachers, and families feel supported, inspired, and equipped to grow.
The teacher helps create a classroom where students can thrive – intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and physically. This role involves designing and delivering engaging lessons that set students up for academic success and personal growth. The school is only about 10 minutes away from the beach. Adventist Christian Academy is looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to collaborate with an engaged school board in the goal of expanding the school into a junior academy, and eventually a full Pre-K through 12th grade institution.
The principal plays a vital role in leading the daily life and direction of Adventist Christian Academy. This position ensures that the school’s mission is lived out each day, while working within the policies of Adventist Christian Academy, the Gulf States Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, and the laws of the State of Florida. The principal fosters a positive environment where students, teachers, and families feel supported, inspired, and equipped to grow. This is a full-time, salaried position that includes teaching a limited number of classes, but the ideal candidate will dedicate a significant portion of their time each week to strategic planning and working with the school board to envision the future direction of the school.
