Hoover Christian School

Gr. 1-2 Teacher

Description

Hoover Christian School, a K-12 school in Hoover, Alabama, is seeking applicants for a Gr. 1-2 Teacher. Hoover Christian School is growing and needs to add another teacher to meet enrollment demands. Hoover Christian School is located in the southern foothills of the Appalachian Mountains just south of Birmingham, Alabama.

The Gr. 1-2 teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, spiritual, emotional and physical growth. The teacher is responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program that will result in students achieving academic success. Applicants must have a strong desire to mentor young people and a willingness to serve others. This is a full-time, salaried position that includes teaching Grades 1-2.

Employees of Hoover Christian School should be faithful, practicing members of the Seventh-day Adventist church whose life and habits have a positive influence in leading students to Jesus. These employees will be passionate about Adventist Education and will support the mission of Hoover Christian School at all times.

Experience & Qualifications

Applicants should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in education with an elementary endorsement. Applicants should possess, qualify for, or be willing to take the necessary coursework to receive NAD certification. Multi-grade experience in an Adventist school is preferred. Salary and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policy.
