  • Description:

    ‍ College Drive Christian School, serving students from 1st through 8th grade, is currently accepting applications for the position of Principal/Gr. 5-8 Teacher.

    Located in Pearl, Mississippi, just east of Jackson, Pearl offers a blend of small-town charm and convenient access to a larger metropolitan area. Known for its friendly community, Pearl features beautiful parks and family-friendly neighborhoods, all while being just minutes from the cultural and educational resources of downtown Jackson. The mission of College Drive Christian School is to provide a Christ-centered education that promotes a life of learning, nurtures a love of God, and fosters service to others.

    The principal plays a vital role in leading the daily life and direction of College Drive Christian School.  This position ensures that the school’s mission is lived out each day, while working within the policies of College Drive Christian School, the Gulf States Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, and the laws of the State of Mississippi.  The principal fosters a positive environment where students, teachers, and families feel supported, inspired, and equipped to grow.

    The teacher helps create a classroom where students can thrive – intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and physically.  This role involves designing and delivering engaging lessons that set students up for academic success and personal growth.  Applicants must have a strong desire to mentor young people and a heart for serving others. This is a full-time, salaried position that includes teaching Grades 5-8 and offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of students.

    To support this dual role, the Gulf States Conference provides funding to ensure the principal has dedicated administrative time each week.

    Experience:

    Applicants should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in education with an elementary endorsement.  Applicants should possess, qualify for, or be willing to take the necessary coursework to receive NAD certification.  Administrative and multi-grade experience in an Adventist school is preferred.  Salary and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policy.  If interested in being considered, please send a cover letter, completed application form, and a current resume with 3-5 references (including your last two employers) with email addresses and phone numbers to Kelsey Abbott, Education Assistant (kabbott@gscsda.org).

  • Gulf States Conference of Seventh-day Adventists seeks a Teacher in Pearl, MS.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor's in Education, or related, or foreign equivalent.

    Minimum 2 yrs. of experience, and has a North American Division Teaching Certification.
