About Us
.
The Gulf States Conference of Seventh-day Adventists is a legally incorporated entity of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We are comprised of the geographical territories of Alabama, Mississippi, and Northwest Florida with our offices located in Montgomery, Alabama. We are filled with southern hospitality and from the Appalachian mountains to the Gulf Coast are surrounded by the natural beauty of God's creation.

We employ pastors, teachers, evangelists, bible workers, and administrators who are dedicated to the mission and standards of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

We are a spiritual family of believers who love the Lord Jesus Christ and who realize that our only hope of salvation comes through Him. And our blessed hope is in the knowledge that He will come again!

We own and/or operate the following institutions:
  • Christian Book and Nutritional Center--providing a full line of Christian books and natural foods.
  • Education:
  • - Bass Memorial Academy--an Adventist boarding school for high school students.
    - Four junior academies--kindergarten through 10th grade.
    - Twelve elementary schools--kindergarten through 8th grade.
  • Cmp Alamisco - An ACA accredited camp facility located on beautiful Lake Martin.
  • 81 churches and companies--with a membership of over 9,000 and growing daily.
  • The Adventist Health Center--long term health care facility operated by Health Prime of Atlanta, Georgia.
We encourage you to find a Seventh-day Adventist Church in your area and join them for worship this week. We are confident that you will find a warm, friendly congregation excited that you have come to worship the Lord with them.

About Seventh-day Adventists
Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons--the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit--make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone.

When He returned to heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day.

Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everything--the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us--is a part of His plan. Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.
